Some of My Favorite e Places

http://whitneycerak.blogspot.com/

I found this site over the summer.  It is a family blog about the most unbelievable chain of events that happened to Taylor University student, Whitney Cerak.  There were other students and faculty of the school involved, but Whitney's family is keeping this blog.  To give a summary of what happened, There were some students on a college van and the van was wrecked.  Several students were killed.  One student, Whitney Cerak, survived but was reported to have been killed.  Another student, Laura VanRyn, was killed but she was misidentified as Whitney.  Whitney's family had a funeral service for their daughter.  Laura's parents began a bedside vigil with the student identified as Laura.  In actuality, Laura died.  Whitney survived.  When it was all figured out, Laura's parents, who had been actually taking care of Whitney, had to bury their daughter and Whitney's family took over the bedside vigil that had been maintained by Laura's parents.  This blog is the voices of Whitney's family as they stand by her and try to help her rehabilitate.  It is a blog of incredible faith and hope.  It is inspirational and uplifting.
